Yulia Enslinger faces the tough task of being both a mom and an artist, but she shows her love for her kid through her artwork. Her comics are inspired by her real-life experiences, making them relatable and easy for many women to understand and connect with.
Yulia is a 32-year-old mom who can’t live without humor and dancing. "I love making silly stuff with my kids and my husband. Also, I am in love with spiritual development and learning as much as I can about myself, other people, energies, and the world," the artist shared with Bored Panda.
The artist shared that she's been drawing cartoon characters since she can remember herself. "I invented my own character, the tiny 'Julia' in a pink shirt when I went to school! She is always there for me. When I became a mom, I was so shocked at how my life changed, and I wanted to share my emotions with the world. So I began to draw comics online."
The most challenging part of the creative process for Yulia is finding time. "There is always not enough time for it! When I draw, I feel like it has been 5 minutes, but it actually took the whole hour! And when you have kids - 1 hour is a lot of time."
"The main things I enjoy in the creative process are the beginning and the result. I love this feeling when I get a new idea for the comics and make a quick sketch. And then after the whole work is done, I enjoy the result. But I do not really enjoy the coloring process, to be honest. It takes too much time."
Yulia shared that she would like other people to take joy and a good mood from her comics. "I love making people laugh and recognize themselves in my comics. I want to make people happier! And I want all moms to know - they are not alone! We all struggle with parenting problems. But I like to show it from a funny point of view."
