TV And Movie Icons Invade These Classic Novel Covers

I enjoy a good read (well, who doesn't) but I particularly enjoy the experience of holding a real book rather than the modern experience of downloading a novel to a tablet. That's just not the same at all.
Add to that, a paperback's cover can become like the well worn face of an old family friend; every crease and scuff picked up as it's read and re-read are like a map of its life.
Being at a loose end one day, I thought it'd be fun to recreate some classic book covers using icons from TV and movies. Modern covers can be a little bland, but I do like the style of Penguin and Oxford Classics, so I used those for inspiration.
As a finishing touch, I "weathered" every one and over the course of the next couple of weeks I came up with 20 books. Here's the result.

Fathers and Sons

... and here's the galaxy's most famous dad and kiddo combination.

Indiana

... and being written by George Sand, this one more or less made itself.

The Man in the Iron Mask

... too obvious? Probably.

The Beast Within

... you wouldn't like me when I'm angry, but then again I'm never angry.

Crime and Punishment

... Dead or alive, you're coming with me.

The American

... well d'uh!

Nostromo

... anyone who knows me will tell you how much I love "Alien"

The Red and the Black

... isn't it about time we saw Hellboy 3?

Metamorphosis

... reasonably close to the source material. Same number of legs?

No Name

... actually, he's called Manco, but never bore me with the facts.

A Hero of Our Time

... but only if you totally forget about DH 5.

The Law and the Lady

... if you haven't seen Dredd, why haven't you seen Dredd? See it now.

Three Men in a Boat

... Farewell and adieu to you fair Spanish ladies.

Basil

... nuff said.

The Good Soldier

... there's only one Kyle Reese and it's Michael Biehn. Forget about what you might have heard recently.

Domestic Manners of the Americans

... a typical example? Answers on a postcard.

The Warrior's Life

... I'm only here for the gasoline.
