Stuck at home? Need a fun way to stay active? Two circus performers have started a workout group to try and lift spirits, increase healthy habits, and encourage the the community (and beyond, they now have people on the East and West Coast) in this trying time.
"We are different from most at home workout groups because we are goofy, honest, and real. We have fun live along with our students and are realistic in what exhausts us or is difficult for us making us very relatable. We are a realistic goal for real people.
We post our 30 minute workouts live on Facebook in our workout group, which is open to the public. We do 4 different classes each day, two in the morning and 2 in the evening, to try and cater to as many people as possible.
We are here for the average person stuck at home like we are and are trying to use our skill to brighten days and keep people healthy. We give them an inside look into what circus performers do to prep and practice (when we don't have props or equipment) and we cater to all levels of workouts.
Our Facebook group is called At Home Workouts Lead By Circus Performers. Since we are doing this in part as supplementary income, we are accepting $1 donations per class from people, or higher donations in advance for bulk future classes. Although since we also know many people are out of work just like we are in this hard time (especially in the entertainment world), donations are not mandatory. If someone is struggling, they are absolutely welcome to take our classes for free. We love what we do and are happy being able to help our community in a positive way the best we can." Says Ali and Caroline.
They now have around 130 people in the group and it's only the second day. Here is a link to the group:

Ali and Caroline are both circus performers who are out of work because of the virus prevention shutting down events.
Ali is an aerial acrobat and a fire performer primarily, but has over 50 different skills. She's been working for the Cincinnati Circus as a Star Performer for 10 years and she's also worked at the Ohio Renaissance Festival performing. Here is her headliner page from the circus: https://www.cincinnaticircus.com/ali-weibel/
You can follow her on Instagram @ali.weibel or her Ren Fair page @vixtheperformer.
Caroline is a Reiki Master, a retired professional ballerina with over 20 years of experience, and primarily a balancer and contortionist at the circus. She is also big in the Enterologist world (the practice of squeezing one's body into very small spaces). You can follow her on Instagram @Carolinethecontortionist.
