People love celebs but Freddy Slivinski, the creator of Same de la Same thinks the project got so popular because we are interested in the lives of their lookalikes even more. "That is our main purpose -- to tell people's stories. It's not just a picture, not just the visual similarity, it's the story behind. The incredible story the lookalike has and wants to share with the world," he told Bored Panda.
So far, Slivinski hasn't met his own doppelganger. "I search a lot but haven't found anyone that looks very much like me. Maybe it will be my future kids," he jokingly said.
Amazingly, even one celebrity whose lookalike appeared on Same de la Same noticed the page. Snoop Dog! "He liked the post. It was incredible!" Slivinski added.
Slivinski also wanted to thank all of the doppelgangers who decided to appear on Same de la Same and the dedicated fans who follow the project. "The page has become viral all over the world in just one year, and has been featured in dozens of articles online and in newspapers, radio and TV shows, even the famous People magazine recommended to follow Same de la Same last year. Such amazing things in just one year! Big thanks to everyone! We also just launched a TikTok account, so please follow us there as well."
