Bored Panda contacted Arkane Lowe to find out who the guy behind Arkane Memes really is. Arkane said that he’s just “a regular guy with a normal job at a grocery store” and he “didn’t go to any special school or anything like that, and learned photo editing on my own.”
The idea came to Arkane after he spotted a mashup style meme on the internet. “I started to make some of my own, so I kept doing it, but at first I used to only make my mashups for some Facebook groups where people can only post memes they made themselves.” One day, he decided to make his own meme page and the rest is history.
Arcane confessed that he’s “not really into popular celebrities and pop culture,” but the cool photos together with the funny names he came up are what makes him happy seeing people laugh and enjoy them. Keep up the good work, Arkane!
