I made a rainbow owl sculpture to celebrate Pride Month and I hid it in a public park for someone to find. I call the project Lost And Found and I plan on doing it until I die. Whoever found the owl isn't coming forward so I made another owl sculpture which I'm hiding on 7/6/2019 in Saint Albans, Vermont.
Lost And Found is an art treasure hunt I started two years ago in Vermont. I carve the artwork out of wood, paint and hide them for someone to find. On the back is a message that reads, "This artwork is free under one condition: you promise to do one good thing for the world." The idea is that each artwork would spawn a good deed and make the world a better place.
I support the LGBTQ community and strongly believe in equality. I was bullied for the majority of my childhood and I know fear can get in the way of living a happy life. The Pride Owl is a reminder that we should all wise up and accept each other for who we are.
