Turns out, there's even a web page dedicated to this mosaic project where residents can find artists to create their personalized mosaics. When a person's mosaic is created, they simply need to send it to the town hall so that it can be installed in front of their house.
There's also an Instagram account dedicated to these wonderful mosaics in Brussels which is documenting the public art initiative. "I'm just a stranger who takes pictures. Ingrid Schreyers is an artist who started to create these mosaic pieces of art in Brussels. Send me more tiles!" reads the description of the profile. Here you can find over 250 mosaics gracing the streets of Brussels.
One of the local artists that can make you a personalized mosaic is a woman named Whitney Orville. You can find more of her wonderful works on her website.
