Cats Are Incredible - The Start Of A Catiffic Exploration

I've embarked on a visual journey where I will be exploring cat coolness through photos and video.

The world of cats is pretty big and diverse with lots to explore. I've recently got more seriously into photography and finally decided to feature cats as one of my projects.

I find cats interesting and cool, moving statues, as it were, because of their beauty and athletic grace. They are some of the ultimate photographic canvases. Safe (mostly, unless you push your luck :), furry, and fast. I love watching the balance of a mountain goat and the speed of, well a cat :), in a household form.

Where I rent a room one of the owners feeds the feral cats, and provided ample opportunity to capture feline comings and goings now and then.

There have been various cats that have come and went, along with litters of kittens.

But the main star of Catiffic currently is a golden female, named 'Goldie', that has lost a lot of her feral nature, and is the resident garage cat.

She will rub against me when I stand around or crouch down, and seems to like to follow me outside when I come through. She doesn't care for being petted, though if you are strategic about it and avoid the claws she will tolerate it.

I'm thinking that perhaps I could tame her a bit more...
