Calligraphy Embroidered By Hand

Hi! I'm Olga, a lettering artist and calligraphy lover.

It was always interesting for me to expand perceptual limits of calligraphy. And one day I found myself embroidering one of my letterings. With time I got the idea to connect two beautiful arts — the fast (expressive calligraphy) and the slow one (hand embroidery). It makes you think about the deceitfulness of time.

Each piece takes about 30 hours from sketch to final work. I make theme with simple stitches — backstitch, satin stitch & french knots
