Brisbane Photographer Wins 2019 Aipp Qld Commercial Photographer Of The Year

Mark Duffus of MD Photography in Brisbane has won the Epson AIPP QLD Commercial Photographer of the year Award for 2019. Announced at East Leagues Club in Coorparoo on Monday 5th June 2019.

The AIPP QLD Epson Professional Photography Awards is the premier photography competition for professional photographers in QLD. Organised by the AIPP (The Australian Institute of Professional Photography) and held yearly the prestigious competition attracts print entries from photographers all over Queensland, each entry is judged individually with a focus on both the way the images were created and printed.

Mark has been a member of the AIPP for over 27 years and also took out the same title in 2018, previously he has been a finalist in the category for the past 12 years. “Winning this award is something I have strived for for many years and I’m proud to have grown and fine tuned my entries each year to achieve this accolade. Winning this category 2 years in a row with work that represents my everyday, reinforces my goal of producing the best possible product for my clients.”

Mark’s entry was a series of 4 images which he created from client work that he had completed throughout the last year. They were judged by a panel of 5 judges over 2 days at Mt Gravatt Institute of TAFE where the awards were held last weekend. Judges were made up of a team of local, and interstate photographers that came together for the State awards.

Mark is a Master photographer with the AIPP with over 31 years experience and has been self employed for the past 25 years, specialising in commercial photography, architecture, aerials, portraits, products, fashion and more. His technical knowledge, experience and expertise has given him the edge to help many clients to create the best portfolio of images for their wide area of needs in a growing digital marketplace. Over his career Mark has earned 203 state, national and international awards in recognition of his photography.
