Bottega Krua, Handmade Pottery In Italy

I am a ceramic artist from Italy, I have a master degree at the Academy of Fine arts in Venice and it is about 9 years I am doing pottery. Every single piece is a result of 24/36 hours of work. My mugs are made by wheel, every piece is one of a kind, signed and numbered. I some pieces I use the gold luster as well. I am obsessed with skulls and dark stuff but I like to make even other themes like unicorns, portraits or sea scene in my pottery creations. To be a ceramic maker is my full job and I love it, I am never tired to try new glazes, mixed different color clays and sometimes make glazes by myself as experiments. I share a ceramic studio in my town with another ceramic artist. I live in a famous area of handmade pottery in North of Italy, but the factories here are so traditional, so I decided to follow my inspirations and to work in the opposite way. Most of my inspirations come from tattoos I see on people. I started this job investing 100 € because I was in a critical moment of my life and I was broken with a baby girl. I am a single mom and I decided to invest on myself and my skill and it worked,I never lost my passion and hopes it was hard at the beggining, but now my business and my art is growing and I am proud of it. I am litterally obsessed of my job and I work every single day no stop, because I need it for myself. Because I consider my job not just as a simple job but as a mission. With my pottery I will live forever, every time a customer will look at a my mug or another pottery creations I will live forever and I will never be forgot. I think I am self-centered but probably it is one of the thing that permits me to go on.
