Last summer I visited Berlin for the first time, after actually living in Germany for almost six years. It was love at first sight - the streets, the people, everything was truly inspiring, so I started taking pictures with my phone. At this very same time I came across some amazing Instagram profiles (@konaction, @karstemkimble, @philipp_goetze, @loewe7, @berlinstagram and many more) and this completely changed my style and how I perceived the world. I deleted almost 500 pictures from my IG account (@_e_l_l_y_) and started looking for geometric lines and forms in the streets, which soon turned into an obsession.
Flying back to Sofia, I had to make a choice - either to move to Berlin or to stay in my hometown and rediscover it. I went with the second option and just one year later, I had the unique chance to exhibit 11 of my geometric pictures from Sofia in Berlin.
Soon after my first exhibit, I was very lucky to be offered to do a second one, but this time in Sofia. I called it "Between Berlin and Sofia" and showed 28 of my favorite moments, captured in both cities. Both exhibitions helped me realize that it doesn't matter where you live. The only thing that really matters is to keep exploring every day because you'll end up looking at everyday things differently and you'll find beauty everywhere.
