Not long ago I was in a dear need for a present for my friend who has everything. Sounds familiar, huh? Somebody recommended to check out “that lady from Republic of Georgia”. Ta-da! My friend once studied with an exchange student from Republic of Georgia and was very fond of the memories. What else can you want? So, I did check out and discovered a young wooden jewelry designer, Viktoria Rudenko.
“Wooden jewelry” concept wasn’t really very clear to me before. It’s either “wooden” or “jewelry” I thought. But, after seeing Viktoria’s work, it all makes sense! She makes absolutely insane pieces, using painting, polishing and lacquering technique. Each one – unique and handmade! My favorite - her “Wild Berry” collection - bracelets and earrings that look so real, they are good enough to eat. Awesome accessory and – guaranteed good mood. I’ve gotten a pair of earrings and a pendant for my friend. She loved it. And I loved the fact that I have “best gift ever” bragging rights now.
Viktoria works under brand ArtWood Jewerly. She is on Etsy, Instagram and FB. Oh, and there are some metal pieces as well ;). If you’re looking for a gift that will be remembered for years to come, or, something for yourself that will stand out - do check it out.
