Being a Kenyan graffiti artist, takes balls.
Brought up in Nairobi, Graffiti artists WiseTwo and Smoki La pattern work is influenced by African heritage with a nod to Egyptian hieroglyphs and his Indian culture. Together with other local graffiti artists, he is involved in social justice street graffiti and campaigns such as the kibera peace train.
Despite his success, Smoki La and Wise Two feel that African street artists are still quite underrepresented with regards to international street art festivals and media.
