For a photographer it is always an exceptional challenge to take pictures from the so-called lost places. In my opinion, such pictures are just effective if the artist is able to capture the solitude and sublimity of the object at the same time in one picture. It seems that the artist Jürgen Kramer from Weimar succeeds with this quite well. At least he manages to portray this lost places, which have been taken on a trip through Belgium, in exactly the light in which they are supposed to be seen.
His pictures reveal explicitly the solitude, which dominates at this places. But at the same time they show which good years these old buildings have seen. The choice of colours and the right perspective let the observer emphasize deeply with the old walls. It is possible that you get a feeling of getting lost in the pictures.
I am permitted by the artist Jürgen Kramer to display some of his pictures on this page, and I do this with pleasure. Let’s hope that after the lost places from Belgium he delights us with further creative pictures.
