Residents of the Fitzroy neighbourhood of Melbourne, Australia may notice something a little fishy.
An artistic rendering of one of the Newfoundland ‘MerB’ys’ (mer-buys) was created by muralists @Jazmishap and @adore_nz of MerB’ys creator Hasan Hai, of the Newfoundland and Labrador Beard and Moustache club. Last year their calendar of bearded mermen raised over $300,000 for a mental health organization.
This year , their 2019 calendar is raising money for Violence Prevention Newfoundland and Labrador - Deconstructing Masculinity : Engaging men in violence prevention .
