Be My Friend

"Be My Friend" is a personal project where I visit animal shelters, in Portugal, and take portraits of dogs waiting for adoption.

This is not an easy task.

Most of them just want to play, or lie down. Others are just frightened. Posing for the camera is not on their plans, and it's always a new challenge with each one. They all have their own personality.

I try to make them look a little more human. A quality image with their expression, makes the difference in motivating someone to come meet an animal in person.

The results are truly paying off.
