Batman On Work Experience At London's Air Ambulance

Batman has left Gotham to pursue a career at London's Air Ambulance, the charity that delivers an advanced trauma team to critically injured people in London. Apparently, Batman is not qualified for any of the jobs available at the helipad but his experience in forensic science and blue light driving in an urban environment has helped him get the foot in the door.
From his first team meeting to a rather disappointing night shift, Batman is documenting his real life-saving experience on his blog and via @LDNairamb #batmanonworkexperience.
Each and every day, a group of approximately six people will suffer such a severe trauma injury that their ability to survive even a short ambulance journey is questionable. It is for these patients, in their moment of greatest need, that the doctors, paramedics, and pilots of London's Air Ambulance will bring the emergency department to the roadside, performing lifesaving (and often groundbreaking) operations in some of the most challenging environments.
For these highly skilled medics, the city of London is their hospital.
For Batman, this is way out of comfort zone.

Emergency preparedness for London

Asked to say a few words about myself at the team meeting. Awkward silence

Night shift. In rapid response car. Called shotgun. Not allowed to sit in the front. Gutted
