Ukrainian artist Yaroslav Ternovskyi creates his artworks with unexpectable materials!
He opened slightly the door to his world by expressing own feelings, emotions and meaningful messages via artworks on exhibition "3Pillars" that was held in Ukraine this March.
"There is an expression:
“When art experts gather, they talk about the idea, background and composition of the artwork, when artists gather, they share where they can get cheap solvent…”
These words could be extended by: “When an average visitor comes, they conclude whether they like the artwork or not”.
In this exhibition everyone, art experts, artists and visitors could get what they seek.
The idea, craftsmanship and aesthetics are the pillars of the exhibition concept. In the real world, if you removed one of the 3D axis, it would immediately turn flat. If you took out one of the exhibition pillars, it would be the same.
Thus, let the art experts be involved in that part of the exhibition where dimensions of the artworks and their themes go far beyond the narrow framework of an average flat and average art view. Each compositional element represents a part of entangled human life if you approach the artworks in an unbiased manner. It’s a riddle even for the artist. And it’s the first pillar.
Artists could get acquainted with the material and craftsmanship and somebody even will not be surprised as we, artists, know that the artwork can be made on the wall with dirt by broom. Combination of, at the first glance, incompatible materials, craft tricks that work for the idea, all these are the second pillar.
Visitors could enjoy the aesthetics of the artworks made by people who have been recently involved in the world of art and explore themselves and the world throughout the art. Making authentic pieces of art and covers of favourite artworks they tell stories of their world. And these pieces bring neat and cosiness to their homes. Aesthetics is the third pillar of the exhibition.
Have a meaningful trip to the world of art, friends!"
Yaroslav Ternovskyi was born in 1987 in Poltava.
"I was not an artist from the very beginning. Nothing special was about me among the peers. But I took a pencil and drew. A dream of being an officer bound my life with a military career, therefore, I am proud of ten years of service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine alongside with the art.
Due to the fact that the art was a part of my life, I studied in Kyiv and Budapest (artists V. Levchenko, V. Movchan, A. Kulagin, S. Varga) and I keep studying now. Fellow artists and students are my teachers as well. Everyday brushwork is my only secret of success."
Nowadays, he has done about 1000 artworks; they are in diplomatic missions of foreign states in Ukraine and in private collections of Ukraine, USA, Hungary, Greece, Poland and Russia.
