Imperfection is very pleasing to the eye. I use one continuous line to capture an effect of quick decisions while capitalizing on the imperfections.
Line quality is something that takes an important role in my art. Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele and Matisse are examples of some of the artists which I admire for that aspect.
I do not plan for my art. I find solutions for the problems that I face as i face them. It is more challenging and there is more of a learning process involved because there is a lot of experimentation and risk taking involved. But the great thing about art is that an art piece can always be improvised and is never finished until the artist says it is. If there is no experimentation and failing involved then there will not be a very high amount of progress and discovery.
Vibrant colors are my favorite to work with. A lot of complementary colors have a big part in my work.
My main focus for the moment is the female figure. There is a beauty and delicacy in the curves which gives a sort of motherly feel and safeness. But also shows power combining it with very harsh and rough material such as weapons. I add jewelry, mainly earrings and flowers and veils to enhance and show off the beauty of women. In this generation there is a crowd of women who have started to represent women as weak and mention things to self pity themselves. As a woman I do not believe that we are weak and the paradoxical images that I create is a reminder of the women who are actually fighting for so many things not even bringing up their differences and just continue with what they believe
