Patricia Telesco has been manipulating metal to her own end for decades. She has won awards for her landscape painting inspired brooches, where she married precious metals to create organic designs. Now, she hand forges silverware - a labor-intensive process that takes days to complete...even for items as small as a toothpick! Larger items can take hundreds of steps and just as many hours to get right. Check out the video below to see how she does it.

Artist Makes Beautiful & Unique Silver and Barware by Hand
Her pieces are beautiful - Like this arched and footed serving set. It's hard to believe she creates every detail by hand.

Even seemingly simple items have difficult transitions and changes of plane from square to round, like this 3 piece serving set. While subtle, these transitions take hours to create on each piece.

Some of her pieces are one-of-a-kind, like this intricately designed absinthe spoon. Patricia likes to explore different techniques and designs, and always follows through to complete her ideas. This beautiful spoon alone represents hundreds of hours of work.

And some of the items are just adorable, like this small arched serving ladle. Deceptively simple in design, the creation process is anything but simple.

Lately, Patricia has been focusing on barware. This pedestal jigger with spout is one of her more recent creations, as of this post. She is constantly making new things, so check out her website!
