In the past technology was big people's thing, and as much as kids liked spending a little time in front of the television, playing with friends and riding a bike was a lot more fun.
It did not take much to become our heroes, be they comic or movie characters. A simple cover, a cardboard box, or a wooden stick was enough.
The cartoonist, painter and sculptor Craig Davison portrayed this very well by illustrating children and their imagination in beautiful drawings.
