Art On The Run

In these recent works I have been taking my practice to the street by leaving drawings on found wood. I sign and date them, and wait for somebody to eventually take them. This has begun to liberate my experimental drawing and my ideas of the roll art plays in our lives and the dichotomy of its value in our society. In Sydney, Australia at the moment the state government is slashing arts funding and killing culture with strict lock out laws, which has killed our once vibrant night life. These works are a result of art finding new ways to reach out and play a roll in our day to day lives.
