My painting is about letting a specific sense of form, color and the object itself, emerge on the canvas. By the design and by my choices when I paint I invite the audience to a renewed vision of the item.
As an artist, I strive to express the object in a new way to make it interesting and powerful.
If I want to free the viewer who sees my painting I must separate myself from the object as an object and instead aim to a free formulation of the phenomenon, the idea. During the creation process the tree, bull, man, the boathouse is redundant in itself, but as a subject for a deeper vision it is an invaluable aid for escorts.
An imaged object triggers a movement in one's consciousness. But the more carefully I reproduces the object, the more dies the meaning. Therefore, I strive instead to leave the subject more or less open, so that the viewer can let themselves be invited to an inner experience.
