Art In The Time Of Lockdown! - With My 5 Yr Old

Schools out, the world it closed. Like everywhere in the world, mother's are tearing their hair out trying to "engage" the kids and keep them off screen-time all the while cooking and cleaning, and then some more.
So as a mother to a 5yr old I decided to make things harder for myself, a challenge, in the time of quarantine. To take my child away from the screen and prep her up for the camera.
I'm not a photographer, I am an art historian or use to be before baby. Baby is now 5 and I am an educator. Let's leave it at that.
However, the art bug is still very much alive. So I decided to take on an art project with my daughter to recreate some of the most famous artworks - Indian and Western.
I'm both happy and amazed at my 5yr olds paticence and capacity to play dress up!
She is happy and we are both enjoying the process of putting these recreations together. They are proving to be a great learning as well as something of great value to us.
The lockdown is urging everyone to dig deeper and come out anew. It's making us cherish our time together with our loved ones, and through this project I will always cherish my time with her in 2020.
