Today I will introduce you to Tatiana Chervinska. She considers her story too ordinary, like hundreds and thousands of Ukrainian women.
A woman lived with three children in Kyiv, worked, took care of children, painted for herself from time to time, because she had never studied art anywhere. And February 24 came, and with it the realization of love for the native land and the need to stay here, in Ukraine. Motivation: This is the only place in the universe where home is.
The decision was quite calm and deliberate. On the first day, she took the children to her father near Kyiv. Battles were taking place nearby, the sounds of artillery could be recognized, as well as their direction and distance to them.
She worked remotely until there were no electricity failures, traveled to help neighbors with purchases, local military. I wanted to draw.
She was going to Kyiv, to be in silence and darkness. And draw. The plots are simple: about yourself, your experiences. For the first time, she exhibited paintings in a gallery, where 2 paintings were sold immediately. I really appreciate the opportunity to be alone with myself, gain strength, pour out my thoughts on canvas.
Now I'm waiting for the lights to go out so I can turn on the flashlight, light the candles and start a magical action for myself.
This is how she talks about her experience and paintings quite succinctly. After seeing the photos of her paintings, you will understand how bare the soul can be. How faithfully the artist reflects her feelings on the canvas. Her frankness is amazing. Looking at her paintings, we all understand what they are about. This is not an imagination - it is an experienced emotional reality. This is her personal testimony of the horrors she experienced, which she does not want to talk about.
There are no such words. Couldn't Hemengway and Remarque write in such a way that you understand what it's like to remove the skin from a living person, to take life. It seems to me that all those who wrote about past wars protected future generations too much from what they experienced personally. There are no phrases that could accurately convey all the feelings to the world.
