We lost our pet ferret 7 months ago (died due to kidney failure) and were finding it hard to let go. During Australian bushfires incidents, artist Sketchy Koala produced a drawing of Steve Irwin, welcoming the animals which had perished, into his arms in heaven. We contacted the artist to see if we could commission her to do an artwork as a tribute to our ferret and Steve Irwin. What you see in the photos is the absolute gorgeous result and this art piece has helped greatly in our healing process and we are now prepared to let Smokey our ferret go as she is now symbolically free and in good hands. Art can indeed help in the healing process.
