Choreographer David Middendorp gained international fame when in 2014 he participated in the popular television program America's Got Talent, where he achieved a final spot. His piece Blue Journey is seen on television and Youtube by more than 50 million people. The new full-length performance Flirt with Reality flirts with other realities and plays with technique such as live drones on stage together with the dancers! The performance will premiere on 20 October 2018 and will be shown in theaters throughout the Netherlands.
With his company Another Kind Of Blue, choreographer David Middendorp invites us to travel to places outside of reality, to once again see the real world at home with a different perspective. "Dance and technology originate from the same source: the desire of man to create another reality. Flirt with Reality shows how borders blur in our increasingly virtual world and how this creates new opportunities at the same time. Dancers literally collide with digital bits and drones, are free of time and gravity and are propelled by their own feeling, fantasy and rhythm, "says Middendorp.
