My name is Moisés Padre, I’m 25 years old, born Angolan and raised Capetonian. I’m a self-taught photographer who strives to showcase urban areas, portraiture or landscape in unique ways through the lens of my iPhone or DSLR. I’ve been shooting for five years now, and my passion for this craft is greater than ever.
I didn’t choose the photography life, the photography life chose me. The reason why I got into this is, based off my hunger and desire to not only to know more about this craft but also due to the inspiration I came across social media, especially on Instagram. We’re living in exciting times; digital photography has brought millions of people into this field, people who wouldn’t have never before dared to consider themselves photographers. Photography was and still a serious thing for me, you really have to be committed to it. For countless people containing myself, art is able to bring joy and expression through creating. Without realizing how exposed we are to art in our everyday life it definitely affects our society day to day.
I’m shooting currently with the Canon EOS 5D Mark II with EF35mmF1.4, EF24-70mm. Editing with Lightroom, using my very own created presets.
