Poppy and Branch got married!
This was a different wedding to the ones I usually shoot. My clients didn’t have moveable limbs, are 2cm tall and keep falling over, but I like a challenge.
They decided to make the most of the worldwide lockdown and roam the now-empty streets to elope. Humans may not be allowed to marry right now, but Trolls have no such rules – so they set up a beautiful elopement ceremony – just the two of them – at a nearby venue, and did some photos in their local woods.
They had no guests because they came to life thanks to a goody bag at a recent 90s-themed birthday party and everyone just got one each.
Poppy had her dress made by her multitasking photographer (me!), and Branch decided to go naked. The pair took a taxi to the ceremony, where they married in front of a teal and pink pom pom adorned archway, then headed off to Kiln Wood in East Sussex for photos. They came across a reflective pool, which was fun for photos, but then it rained – but that’s ok because I love shooting rainy weddings! We got a super cool photo from it that they’re going to frame and hang in their woodland home.
The evening ended with an epic sunset, and then they hopped on a plane to LA for their honeymoon.
They chose me as their wedding photographer because I have the same hair as them. And because they live in a drawer in my lounge, so I'm pretty local.
