It’s that time of year again. The time of lighting candles, baking sugary treats and, of course, losing your mind to let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. On repeat.
If you’re prone to earworms, you will be pleased to know that there’s a new product on the world-wide-web called “Jingle Blockers”. These Christmas tree shaped ear plugs will cancel out all jingly noises, leaving you with a feeling of calm that’s usually very hard to come by around the holidays.
The Jingle Blockers come in 2 variations, one even has extra space in the trunk to fit a convenient sparkly tinsel strap (not included) so that you never lose them, or if you prefer, can wear them as decoration.
Two London based advertising creatives are behind this timely invention:
“This idea came about, as most ingenious ideas do, in the pub. It was only the beginning of October but they were already blasting Christmas music. Suddenly we started hearing the songs all around us. In shops, on the high street, in cafes, in the doctor’s office... We decided that to keep our sanity, we needed something to mute Mariah Carey” they explain.
The functional as well as decorative “Jingle Blockers” are almost always sold out. So if you want to get your hands on a pair you better act fast or you’ll have to keep on listening to those jingle bells – all the way.
