The countdown for Christmas has begun! With the festive season also comes the time to start with decorations and make some fun and appetizing treats for your kids. In fact, it would be even amazing if your kids will be able to participate in preparing those treats.
Here are a few treats listed that are not just delicious to look and taste but very easy to prepare.
1. Rudolf Christmas Cookies
Ingredients You Will Need:
• Oreo Cookies
• Red Frosting Candies
• Pretzels
The favourite cookies of kids are at it again. Use pretzel pieces and push them into the cream to make Rudolph’s ears and finally stick a frosting cherry at the centre of the cookie for the red candy nose.
2. Pizza Stockings
Ingredients You Will Need:
• Pizza Dough
• Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
• Pizza Sauce
• Basic Leaves
You can use those beautiful cookie cutters for other things than the desserts too. A red candy cane, Christmas stocking and a Santa cap decorated with white cheese strips will definitely be a big hit with the kids.
3. Elf Shoes
Ingredients You Will Need:
• Original Bugles
• Peanut Butter (Creamy)
• Melted White Chocolate
• Sprinklers (Red, White & Green)
Put creamy peanut butter in a pastry bag and pipe in into the bugles to give them the appearance of shoes. Dip the creamy end of the filled cracker in white chocolate and use sprinklers to finish off the look.
4. Reindeer Sandwiches
Ingredients You Will Need:
• Bread
• Peanut Butter
• Pretzels
• Chocolate Chips
• Red Candies
The lunch during holidays also needs to be fun and delectable to eat. Use heart-shaped and round cookie cutters to cut bread in the shape of reindeer face and a tiny amount of peanut butter to fix the eyes (chocolate cookies), nose (red candy) and ears (pretzels) of the reindeer.
5. Chocolate Covered Strawberry Trees
Ingredients You Will Need:
• Dark Green Candy Melts
• Melted White Chocolate
• Oreo Cookies
• Strawberries (Stems Removed)
• White Sprinklers
• Candy Stars
Why not add a strawberry with your kids’ favourite cookies to balance it out? Just dip the strawberry in green candy melts, decorate it with sprinklers and then let it set down before you attach the tree with a cookie using white chocolate as frosting snow.
6. Gingerbread Hot Chocolate
Ingredients You Will Need:
• Milk
• Gingerbread Syrup
• Cocoa Powder (Unsweetened)
• Sugar
• Chocolate Chips
• Vanilla Extract
Make your family hot chocolate recipe more interesting by introducing holiday gingerbread flavours to it. Slow boil brown sugar, water, cinnamon sticks, ground ginger and biscoff spread in a pan till you get a syrup consistency for ginger syrup.
So what are you waiting for? Get your kids to join you in making all these fun Christmas trees and then enjoy it with them and their friends. We guarantee that your kids will love them!
