The Los Angeles-based collective called Activista created the album cover series 6 Feet Covers. They re-imagined the most iconic music album covers to apply to the rules of social distancing. While they put a significant distance between the musicians in the cover photos, they made sure to keep the iconic aesthetic in tact.
Thee cool photo series contain pieces from famous bands recognized all over the world such as “Abbey Road” by The Beatles, Queen’s second album, “Destroyer” by Kiss and many others. It was all done to raise the awareness of the importance of social distancing and the role it plays in flattening the curve in order to aid the healthcare system to keep in tact.
Roberto Fernandez and Paco Conde from Activista themselves describe their work as “extraordinary ideas for extraordinary times”, which is extremely fitting to this situation. They share creative activism that addresses the issues they care about.
The duo share skills in art directing, painting and copywriting. Together they are behind of some extraordinary and award-winning ideas that have been recognized by adage and the Cannes Report. They were also listed in Forbes Magazine’s 100 Most Creative People In The World in 2017.
