I sadly lack the maternal hormones required for baby-rearing so, as a photographer, I've always shied away from newborn photo shoots because I'm scared of unintentionally hurting or upsetting the child (and let's not even talk about bodily functions). People who are parents, I salute you!
When my neighbour lent me this delightfully creepy doll it sat in my bedroom for a few days mocking me with its lifelikeness but I eventually saw it as an opportunity to grow my photography skills and try my hand at a newborn (or in this case, reborn) photo shoot. It doesn't seem so hard when there's no pressure to keep the child amused or asleep!
