I haven't met you yet, but I know you already. I know how you move, I know when you wake up and when you sleep. I know when you're hungry and when you're restless. We've already played many games together through Mommy's tummy. We've already had many conversations, although one way... I know you've heard my voice.
You've quickly become my favorite thing to look forward to in the evenings while watching TV. I love seeing you moving around inside. I love kissing Moms belly and getting a punch or kick in the face from you. I fell asleep last night with my arm around Mom and my hand on her stomach and I could feel you hiccuping and moving and rolling around.
I sometimes wonder what it's like in there for you. I sometimes wonder if you have any idea that soon your life on the inside will be over and you'll be out here with us. What I don't wonder is that once that happens I know that I will continue to love you more each day and continue to treat you the way that you deserve to be treated.
You coming into my life is something that just a year ago I never expected to happen. I never thought I would have the opportunity to have another child, and now that it happening. You've already made me so happy and I count the days, and almost hours until I can meet you for real and stare into each others eyes.
I promise I will never make you be something or someone that you are not. I promise to never not be by your side. I promise to be there when you need me, but also know when to back off when you don't. There are many more things to say, but I'll leave them for another time...
