A Final Parting Gift

The idea of college fills me with dread. I currently am 18 years old and I have this horrible fear that I will lose some of my closest friends once I leave. However, I figured out a way to combat that fear, through my art. On my desk, everyday, as I draw I look to this lucky cat. I love this cat and I got this cat while visiting my cousin and it's one of my favorite things ever, it's so freaking cute. As I stared at it everyday, the idea came to me that I should share the luck and happiness this cat brings to me with all of my friends. Obviously, I couldn't shatter my cat and give a part to each of my friends, but I decided I could personalize this cat for each of my friends. Based off of their favorite animals, I drew them a picture in a lucky-cat style. Below, you can see the results!!! I like to believe that my art will connect all of us and deepen our friendships. When each of us looks at our picture (or in my case, my cat) we will think of the others who have a similar gift. We will think of how lucky we are to have each other and that, I hope, will bring as much happiness as I get from my cat each and everyday. Sorry to be cheesy, but the true gift isn't the pictures, it's a meaningful and deep friendship.
