A Filmmaker's 12-Year Dream To Build Sky Cities

In a climate-ravaged future, humanity will fight for refuge in the sky...
This is why I'm building cities in the sky; at least imaginary ones. But the sheer amount of detail that's been put into my TV series about a future society in the sky will make it feel like you can reach out and touch it.
I'm a filmmaker who has been living and working between Prague and SF for over a decade and I've traveled and directed videos in over 15 countries. Throughout my travels, I've become fascinated by how climate shapes culture and society, especially by how climate change is affecting our world.
I've had this developing dream for 12 years - to tell a very epic yet personal sci-fi story about how the actions we as a society take today will define the world we'll have to live with tomorrow. I call it SKY CITY HAYA. My goal is to get it produced as a premium TV series at the same level as shows like “The Mandalorian”, “Altered Carbon” and “Westworld”.
It takes place in a climate-ravaged future, where a brilliant yet troubled bounty hunter must find his former lover's missing husband - the only person who can stop the world's first sky city and humanity’s last hope from crashing to the earth.
Along my journey, I've run 2 Kickstarter campaigns, one successful and one unsuccessful. I've created a story pitch sizzle reel, a proof-of-concept teaser trailer, a completed pilot script, a detailed show bible, and a partner of mine, Mike Köppe, has created an investor presentation deck.
I've had highs such as my promo shoot which brought so many amazing and talented people together, and lows where someone I contracted on Craigslist to create visual effects extorted $1000 from me and almost another $2500 before I caught on.
Being an independent filmmaker takes guts, courage, and sacrifice, both emotional and financial, and faith in yourself. To truly touch people with your work, I have had to be honest with myself and genuine with what I want to say. It's hard and exhausting, exhilarating and demanding. But I realized that everything I ever dreamed of is possible. It's not about the destination but about loving the journey I'm on. I'm not "there" yet by any objective metric. I'm just going with it and going and going...
...If you'd like to join me on my journey to getting SKY CITY HAYA made as the most groundbreaking and relevant sci-fi TV series of our time, you're welcome to follow along at:
