The initiation point for fairies and elves has appeared in the new Silpo supermarket themed as a "Fairy Valley". The supermarket opened its doors to the fantasy world on September 16.
On the occasion of the opening children who come to the store with their parents can obtain a "passport" of a fairy or elf. There is a belief that the magical powers are supported by healthy eating. That is why a solemn initiation to become a fairy or elf is possible only under one condition ― to promise parents to eat wholesome foods such as carrots, apples, broccoli, cauliflower and favorite delicacies from the "Healthy foods" department. After a sincere promise, a fairy solemnly proclaims kids as honorary residents of the "Fairy Valley".
"Teaching children to eat more vegetables and fruits is sometimes a real challenge, ― says Director of Marketing for "Silpo" Kateryna Oguryayeva. ― According to Healthy Eating Research, favorite characters influence children's food choices because kids are emotionally attached to fairy-tale and cartoon heroes. We make sure that parents have a wide choice of quality products, so that their children can enjoy tasty and healthy meals. I hope that the emotions that little fairies and elves experience here will support the formation of healthy eating habits".
The design of the supermarket immerses customers in the atmosphere of fantasy: a fairy greets guests at the entrance, and another elfin flies next to a huge mythical dragon, which emits smoke from its mouth and has a wingspan of 14 meters. The columns in the retail space are also thematically decorated ― they are made in the form of trees with houses on the branches.
The main abode of fairies is located above the Gastronomy island. The entourage is complemented by a cauldron with a fog machine, a fairy-tale bridge, cocoons and boats in which fairies live.
Guests can try on fairy or elf looks in the interactive mirror. The main thing is not to forget to take a picture to capture the moment. At the checkout stage, visitors use lightbox checkouts made in the form of lanterns. The facade of the supermarket was inspired by elements of buildings in the city of Sibiu, Romania.
