You deserve to be loved the right way and for all the right reasons. You deserve to be loved. Not liked, not lusted after, not settled for, but loved. You deserve for someone to want to kiss your face just as much in the light of day as they do in the heat of the night. You deserve someone that loves every little piece of you. You deserve to be held by secure arms. You deserve security, respect, love, loyalty, you deserve to be swept off your feet. Don't settle. Here are some signs to look out for to know if your love is being taken for granted:
1. YOU'RE NOT A PRIORITY.
Your significant other should want to spend time with you. Sure some of us are busier than others, but spending time with you should be at the top of their priority list. When he makes times for his friends but always brushes you off and is always busy when it comes to you that is a problem.
2. YOU'RE ALWAYS THE ONE PLANNING NIGHTS OUT.
You should never be the only one making plans every weekend. He should take the initiative to surprise you with a night out every now and then. All relationships involve sacrifice whether it's time, money or any other area. When you find yourself doing all the planning you start to feel unappreciated, specially when the other person just seems so disinterested.
3. YOU DON'T FEEL APPRECIATED.
Everyone has their limit for feeling unappreciated. Doing things for your partner feels so rewarding but it can be draining when you keep giving and giving and all they do is take and take and the more they take the more they make you feel like you're not good enough.
4. THEY DON'T SHOW THEY CARE.
Part of being in a relationship is showing concern for your partner and their well being. If they are just distant when it comes to asking you about your day or even checking up on you to make sure you made it home safe, they don't care to know. You shouldn't be the only one asking them about their day or if they need anything. It should be a mutual act between the two of you.
5. LACK OF ROMANCE.
He went from making you feel beautiful and appreciated to making you feel like you have to fight for his attention. You shouldn't have to fight over what should be given freely. He has become so dry with you. He no longer surprises you with flowers just because. You're lucky if you get a card for your birthday.
