It’s an exciting time of year, for sure, but can also be stressful and overwhelming if you aren’t prepared.
Signing up to the right websites and using certain platforms and apps can make your time at school much easier. So here are 5 fantastic tools that you might not have heard of that come highly recommended by students and educators alike!

1. Trello

This awesome free tool is great for managing group projects and your own personal workflow. The task management interface essentially turns each of your tasks into a trackable and modifiable "card" that you can move around to different lists, categories and projects. It’s awesome for tracking the progress on large projects or also just keeping track of your different deadlines and to-do lists.

2. Cold Turkey

This cool little program is a distraction blocker and procrastination killer! It's all too easy to get sidetracked away from your work and assignments when you have easy access to distracting websites. Cold Turkey aims to solve this problem by simply blocking them if you're busy. You decide what websites are your particular weaknesses and Cold Turkey will keep you away from them during particular periods. You can upgrade from the free version if you want to block access to particular programs, apps or games too.

Nerdify is an awesome platform driven by artificial intelligence that connects students to their very own “Personal Nerd” who has been selected as perfect for the student’s needs. They can help with basically any task or issue related to college or school, as long as it’s legal and doesn’t break any rules. The education company, who are based in San Francisco, also created a pretty nifty AI chatbot called the Nerdy Bot for Facebook messenger. This little baby can instantly answer any questions a student might have, and will connect you to a real person if they can’t handle your query!

A radio station for concentration, Brain.fm is an app that features only music that has been specifically identified as being able to aid concentration and improve your focus. Perfect for those long studying sessions! Using some pretty advanced programming and artificial intelligence, the app tailors playlists specifically to you.

This app helps you to track your habits and behavior patterns so you can better manage your time. Many people use it for things like remembering to floss or do exercise, reading 30 minutes a day and taking medication on time.
