10 Times My Cat Brought The Cuteness

My parents and I adopted Nala in 2020. We got her from a family friend who needed to give her up because someone in her home had a severe allergy to cat dander. I already knew Nala so she got used to things at my house pretty quickly. Nala loves watching birds from her cat tower, playing with those fuzzy pom pom balls and eating just about anything. Her only problem in life is her mean, big sister who chases her and even hisses in her face when she gets mad. Nala is usually not aggressive but I've seen her bat her sister, Sushi, in the face in self defense. I think she actually likes playing chase with her sister though. Look out for a Sushi cameo in pic 8!
Nala has improved things for my family dramatically. First she helped her sister Sushi by easing her anxiety. Sushi had a problem peeing on my bed when is leave the house for months before we got Nala. Shortly after Nala arrived the inappropriate peeing stopped and has never returned. I think Sushi likes having Nala's company whether she shows it or not!
Second, Nala has offered support to my dad who has a degenerative muscle disease called Inclusion Body Myositis. Not only does she hop on his bed and offer cuddles, she visits the nurses who help my dad. She meows at them until she gets a pet but she also "supervises" and offers her gratitude through gentle head bumps.
Nala has helped my family in a myriad of ways. I plan to share more in part 2! This is your formal introduction to Nala.

Nala loves to sleep with her head pressed up against the side of her bed!

A shrimp or a cat?

What are you looking at?

Waiting patiently for dinner.

A beautiful gingerbread loaf!

Thinking about things.

Stuck waiting in line at the water cooler. Thanks a lot Sushi!

Chasing a squirrel in her dreams.

Just Nala being her cute self.
